Dear All,
We've had another good week that ended with t-shirts, a drone, yearbooks, and a picnic. Not bad for a Friday!

Such a handsome yearbook cover!
Get in line!
We really appreciated those of you who were able to make it to Parents' Night on Tuesday. If you weren't able to do so, Mrs. Hutchins placed a folder with classroom information along with a few other things in your child's locker. Hopefully, that folder has either made it to you or it is in a backpack somewhere for you to retrieve!
This week, we'll begin with an A day and enjoy two visiting artists as part of our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Poet, Vera Gomez, will speak with MS students on Monday and also visit several classrooms. On Wednesday, students will enjoy a performance by Tres Vidas. We are really looking forward to both.
Believe it or not, this week marks the midpoint of our first academic quarter. Teachers will send progress report emails by the end of this week to students making a C or below in one or more of their classes. Parents and advisors will be copied on that communication. Please keep in mind that it is the beginning of the year with fewer grades than normal, and there has been a lot of adjusting to new routines, expectations, and workloads for all students. Thus, grades may either be higher or lower than they will ultimately land.
There are loads of athletic events coming up each afternoon, so I hope you can get out to enjoy those and support our Griffins.
Here's to the weekend and a good week ahead. Hope to see you all at the picnic later!
~ Farrar
