Character Education
Honor Code
All members of the Spartanburg Day School community are expected to conduct themselves according to the principles set forth in the school honor code.
The honor council, consisting of both students and faculty, is the body charged with educating the community about the honor code, as well as applying appropriate consequences in instances where the honor code has been broken.
Students on the honor council must go through an application and election process and are held to the highest standards of academic and personal integrity.
Mentorship Program
Upper School students have the opportunity to participate in an extensive career exploration program alongside a professional in the community. Mentorships span more than 20 fields, from architecture to medicine and robotics to interior design. This unique year-long offering adds new dimension to students' experience and allows them to explore possible career paths.
Community Service
Community Service is a living and authentic component of Upper School life. Students assume true leadership roles and are expected to give fully of themselves for the betterment of their community.
Two service organizations are available for students: Interact, the Upper School boys' service organization, and ASTRA, the Upper School girls' service organization.
