See you there!
Over the past several weeks, Spartanburg County has been experiencing a significant increase in the prevalence of respiratory viruses (COVID, influenza, and RSV). These viruses can present like the common cold or seasonal allergies.
Though we love seeing each other at school, please remember to remain home when you are ill. Students need to be fever-free for 24 hours (without fever reducing medication), no vomiting for 24 hours, no diarrhea for 24 hours. Also, they should be generally well enough to participate in daily activities.
If your child has tested positive for COVID-19, please notify me for a return to school discussion. Remain at home until you have spoken to me and advised on returning to school. No quarantine is required for close contacts or house-hold contacts of persons exposed to COVID-19.
To prevent the spread of viral respiratory infections:
SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE GRIFFIN CLINIC
All students are now able to take advantage of services offered by the Griffin Clinic, even if you aren't registered. One-time visits are $40, billed through your FACTS account. The Griffin Clinic offers COVID-19, flu, strep, and RSV testing and is available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all students and faculty. To ensure clinic efficiency and minimize illness exposure, please remember to schedule an appointment. For students who have fallen ill outside of school hours, there is a convenient telehealth option that can be utilized to expedite treatment. If it is determined that medications are indicated, a prescription will be sent to your preferred pharmacy.
For questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Nurse Jonathan Green: jonathan.green@sdsgriffin.org.
