Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement courses in the Upper School are an opportunity for students to experience the rigor of college level work in a high school setting. Entrance into these courses demands a prior record of strong academic performance and permission of the instructor.

ap results 2021

In 2021, 80 percent of Spartanburg Day School students who took an AP exam earned a passing score. Of the 33 students who made up the most recent graduating class, 79 percent scored a 3 or higher on at least one AP Exam during their high school career.
