News from the Lower School

Week of Aug. 28

Happy Fri-Yay LS Families,

We extend our sincerest gratitude for your participation and presence at our Back to School Night event yesterday evening. Your engagement reflects your commitment to supporting us in shaping your child's educational experience this year. As I mentioned last night, you play a pivotal role in the success of our LS community, and we are truly thankful for your continued support.

As we conclude the first full week of school, I am pleased to share that things are progressing smoothly. The transition back to school is not an easy one. This is typically the week when it settles in for students that school is back in session. The energy and excitement of the "First day of school!" is gone, they are tired, and they are probably longing for the days when they could sleep in or take a quick trip to the pool (BTW, this weekend is definitely going to be a pool weekend). However, the enthusiasm and positive energy exhibited by our students are a testament to their resiliency and the support they are receiving from you and our teachers.

Next week will be our last week of focusing on establishing routines and expectation setting. Once we return from Labor Day weekend, we will begin to dive into and explore our units of study. We can't wait to see what awaits on the journey ahead! Thanks again for your engagement and partnership, and here's to a fantastic year of growth and discovery!

With Gratitude,

Jonathan
