Berkeley Young '81 delivers commencement address to Class of 2019
It was a special treat to welcome Berkeley Young '81 back to the Senior Courtyard and hear his words of wisdom to our newest graduates. Berkeley made us laugh, he made us reflect, and he reminded us all of the tremendous value of a Day School education.

Celia Wise Cooksey '86 receives Caggiano Memorial Alumni Award
Aaron Frost '09, president of the SDS Alumni Council, presented Celia Wise Cooksey '86 with the Caggiano Alumni Award at graduation for embodying the essence of being "forever a Griffin." As a student leader at SDS, a teacher, and now the director of technology services, Celia's contributions to SDS are ongoing and constant.

ZION WILLIAMSON '18 IS A NEW ORLEANS PELICAN!
The Griffins' #12 and the NBA's #1 draft pick Zion Williamson '18 will play for the New Orleans Pelicans in the upcoming season. A group of supporters cheered on Zion from the Barclays Center in New York on draft night, June 20, while others gathered at the Fr8yard in downtown Spartanburg.
